School Council 2024-2025

The St. Monica School Council works closely with the community, parish, principal and staff to support school programs and to provide the best possible learning environment for our students. St. Monica Catholic School Council is comprised of parents, a parish representative, a teacher, a non-teaching rep and the school principal.

The Council meets every six-seven weeks at the school and we welcome parents/caregivers who are interested in learning about their children’s education and assisting the Council or volunteering in the school.

The Council is active throughout the school year with fundraising to support various school activities.  Specifically, assistance with graduation, student agendas, field trips, year end barbecue and dance, charitable works, school beautification, special presenters in the school, student subsidies, special purchases to enhance programs school wide on many levels and goal-setting. Initiatives always include enhancing our volunteer pool, keeping informed on community issues, working in partnership with the parish on almsgiving-Share Life/Refugee families, increasing awareness of School Council activities and communicating school-related issues to parents.  School Council meetings provide a vital opportunity for all school stakeholders to discuss and provide input on a range of issues to ensure the best educational opportunities for students at St. Monica School.  The School Council is committed to promoting strong relationships between home, school and the community, and supporting school staff in providing quality education for all students.

Please come out and share in this committee.  The look on your child’s face when they see you actively participate is priceless.

OUR NEXT MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY DECEMBER 5TH AT 7:00PM.
